Student Safety & Security

Students cannot learn effectively unless they feel safe at school.

Campus security must remain a constant priority, and the District should regularly evaluate its emergency preparedness, access controls, communications systems, staffing, and coordination with local law enforcement.

As Beverly Hills continues to change and new transportation infrastructure brings increased activity near our schools, BHUSD should plan ahead rather than react after problems arise.

I support close coordination between the District, Beverly Hills Police Department, City officials, parents, and school administrators to identify potential safety concerns before they become serious problems.

Our responsibility extends beyond protecting students inside the classroom. We must also think carefully about arrival, dismissal, nearby transportation areas, and the routes students use to travel to and from school.
