Parent Voice & Transparency
Parents should never feel disconnected from the decisions affecting their children's education.
BHUSD should communicate openly about curriculum, major policy changes, academic performance, spending, safety issues, and important Board decisions.
Parents deserve meaningful opportunities to provide input before significant decisions are made—not simply after the fact.
I support clear communication from the District, easily accessible information, greater transparency regarding major expenditures and policies, and a School Board that listens respectfully to parents even when there is disagreement.
Parents, teachers, administrators, and Board members will not always agree on every issue. But the process should always be open, respectful, and transparent.
Trust is built when families know what is happening in their schools and understand why decisions are being made.
